The Proofs are In! (and more Inside the Update)

Custom Box Proofs!

Proofs for the Tokens arrived last week and I've been going over them with a critical eye ever since. 

While overall the proofs look great, a few of the Tokens came out a bit too dark and some of the text on the boxes is a bit hard to read.  

I am sending the order for another round of Proofs in today with the required corrections and changes.  We will have more to show off in two weeks or so, when they get back from the manufacturer.

Playmats Ordered!

After a single round of proofs and a few tweaks, the order for playmats (2,000 in total) has been sent to Inked Gaming for processing. 

Here was the breakdown of the Playmats you chose as rewards:

• Elemental by Hokusai - 49.3%
• Angel by Bruegel the Elder - 11.2%
• Plant by van Gogh - 8.1%
• Soldier by Leutze - 7.9%
• Poison by David - 6.7%
• Sand Warrior by Tissot - 5.8%
• Bear by Friese - 5.8%
• Beasy by Hoffman - 3.6%
• Cat by Rubens - 1.4%

A few changes were made to the mats prior to submitting the final files for print, but overall they came out great.  My wife even wants one of the Death of Socrates mats for her desk at work!

Supplies! Supplies! Supplies!

In addition to all of the proofing work, we've recently ordered all of the shipping and packing supplies that we will need to fulfill your rewards.

Boxes, peanuts, and bubble mailers, oh my!

These materials will be filtering in over the next few weeks so we will be 100% ready to go once the tokens and playmats arrive from the printers.

Token Project 2.0 - Share your thoughts!

Yes, there will be a 2.0 version of the Classic Art Token Project.

Contents, launch date and exact details are still in development, so please list any suggestions or requests for a particular piece of art, token type or product offering as a comment on this update.

Here are a few of the things we are considering for the next version of this project:

• Dice Bags
• Playmat Bags
• Custom Dice
• Custom Sleeves
• Cube Token Collection
• Pauper Token Collection

We are still some months away from having concrete plans, so the more feedback you can give us, especially after you receive your Rewards, the better we can continue to make these projects.

Survey Update

We still have 32 backers that have not completed their Survey and 10 backers with failed payments for their Add Ons.

I've sent personal emails, survey reminders, Kickstarter messages and everything else I can think of (smoke signals were a bad idea) to get these completed ahead of fulfillment. 

If you receive an email from me in the next few days about a failed payment or incomplete survey, please, please, please follow the instructions.  They always include a direct link to your survey, so it should go fairly quickly.

If you do experience any problems with billing or completing your survey, please reach out to [email protected] and they will be able to get you set up.

Last Call

All of the surveys will be locked after midnight tomorrow, so this is your last chance to Add On any of the following to your pledge:

• Basic Sets
• Full Sets
• Token Collections
• Uncut Sheets
• Loose Tokens
• Bonus Token Sets (Every backer is getting one of these free, but you can always buy more)

We still have 35 Surveys that have not been completed, so I sent out reminders to everyone that is not yet filled out.  If you received one of these today, please fill it out ASAP.

If you haven't filled out your survey and don't read this update until Monday (Hello, fellow procrastinator), your Survey is now locked, so do the following:

• Don't Panic - We'll get it sorted out
• Communicate - Just send me a message or comment on this update and I will guide you through how to get it fixed (This goes for everyone with a question for me, even if your Survey is already complete)
• Complete your Survey - I can set it up, but I need you to complete it
• Get your Reward - Well, in a few months at least, we're working on it

I want to make sure if you backed this project, you will get your desired reward, I just need the information in the survey to be completed to make it happen.

Did Somebody say New Tokens!?!

With the Surveys set to be locked down this Sunday, I just wanted to remind you of a few things and go over the next steps.

If you have already completed your survey, you can go back into it at any time through the confirmation email that you received.  There should be a direct link to your survey near the bottom of the email and you can go in and make any changes you want while they are still open.

After the Surveys are locked down, you can still go in to adjust your shipping address.  The options to change your reward or select more Add Ons will be greyed out after Sunday, but your address will still be able to changed until we lock that down as well prior to shipping.

If you have any problems getting into your survey, you should be able to reply the Survey or Survey confirmation email and Backerkit Support will guide you through it.  If you experience any problems with that, please let me know.

Confirm Your Payment Option!

Please, please, please double check your choice of payment option if you purchased additional Add Ons through the Survey.  We had 26 backers drop from the main project due to this and I want to do everything I can to make sure we avoid that with the surveys. 

Your cards have not yet been charged (can't do it until the Surveys are locked down) so just check your information and ensure that you are good to go.

Human & Cleric & Human & Soldier & Vampire & Knight

Speaking of purchasing additional Add Ons, I received a few requests for the Vampire Knight that I shared in the previous update to be available as an Add On on the Survey.  Your wish is my command!

Not only that, but I have created Human Cleric and Human Soldier tokens as well and added all three as available Add Ons.  I added them to the top of the Survey so you don't have to go searching for them.

A note on these tokens, to address the questions you may have:

• These will not be included in the Full Set.  I'm offering these to you ahead of their planned release date, so they are not included in the project rewards, they are only available as Add Ons

With that out of the way, here are the new Tokens!

These new Tokens are currently live on the Surveys along with all of the original Add Ons. 

I am evaluating pricing for the Full Sets and Token Collections that will be available after the rewards are sent out and it is very likely that the prices will be seeing a significant increase. 

If you are interested in more Single Tokens, Full Sets or Token Collections, or know a friend (or friends) that would be, you have until Sunday to adjust your pledges and purchase more Add Ons at the current prices.

Chasing Down Surveys

Well, we're past the deadline for finalizing Rewards and Add Ons and we still have 41 Surveys showing incomplete.  Unfortunate, but not unexpected. 

So far I've sent Kickstarter Messages, personal emails and survey reminders to everyone showing incomplete. Hopefully, with a few more attempts, we can get the last surveys completed soon.

I am going to extend the deadline to allow these last few backers (and everyone else, if you want to order more Tokens) one more week to get their Surveys completed. 

I will sent out a reminder Update to everyone on Saturday, April 30, just in case you want to make changes or grab a few more tokens, and then lock down the Surveys on Sunday, May 1.

Once all of the Surveys are locked in and the order sent to the printers, I will post an update with final print run information for all of the Token Collections, Sets and Playmats.

Getting There, 100 Surveys Left to Complete

Well, it's been two weeks and we are down to just 100 backers left to fill out their survey.

Thank you if you have already filled it out.  I know there were a few technical difficulties at the start, but we were able to work through them.  Your patience and encouragement was very much appreciated.

If you have not filled out your survey yet, you should have received another reminder email today.  I went through and personally messaged each backer without a completed survey as well, so check your Kickstarter message inbox if you did not receive today's email.

If neither of those options worked and you still can't complete your survey, please let me know with a comment below and I will work with you to get it done. 

I want to lock in Surveys by April 22, but it's looking like we may need to extend that a bit to get these last Surveys completed.  We'll see how this week goes.

Survey Superlatives

While there are still a few surveys outstanding, we have more than enough juicy tidbits to give you a peek behind the curtain.

• Most Popular Token: 1/0 Elemental Token (Though the Zombie Token is only 1 behind)
• Most Popular Playmat: Hokusai Elemental Mat (By a mile! 49.2% of the "Pick a Playmat" Rewards and 57 chosen as Add Ons)
• Most Popular Token Collection: Modern (with 39.6% of the "Pick a Collection" Rewards.  Commander was #2 with 33.8%)
• Most Popular Bonus Token: Doyle Spirit Token (74 added via Add Ons)
• Funds Raised via Add Ons: $7,144 (so far, at least)
• Most Popular between Rock, Paper, Scissors: Rock (Good 'ole Rock, nothing beats Rock)

Once we have all of the Surveys locked in, I will take a deeper dive into the numbers and share more of the details with you.

We recently got back the first proof of the Custom box for the Basic Set (looks pretty darn good) and are now finalizing the designs for the rest of the boxes (including some UPC labels on the bottom for our retailer friends).

We're on track and moving forward at a good pace.  I'll be sending another update once we are closer to locking in the Surveys to give you a last chance to finalize your Add Ons before we go to print.
