Bonus Tokens from the $15,000 Stretch Goal

Hey there!

I'm working on a larger update to celebrate the $30,000 Stretch Goal, but first I wanted to share the bonus tokens I promised earlier.

These tokens will be sent to all backers at the Basic Set reward level and above. 

These and future Bonus Tokens will be a mix of alternate art and creative tokens, meant as both a thank you for backing and a fun addition to the project.

It's been great communicating with all of you through the comments.  If you have any questions or suggestions, please let me know with a comment on the project page.

500 Backers + $25,000 = MOAR TOKENS!!!!

Did I internet the title correctly?  Hopefully so.

So, here we are.  500% funded in under 24 hours.  7 Stretch Goals unlocked, with a whole slew of new ones ready to go (more on that below).  It's been quite a ride and we still have 29 more of these to go.  Outstanding!

Did I think we would be here already?  Definitely not.  Am I excited that we are here already?  You betcha!

90 Token Full Set!  Almost double the size of the Full Set on launch.

The best part about it?  Now that we are past the more popular tokens like Elephants, Centaurs and Beasts, we get to start making the really obscure stuff like Minor Demon, Rukh and Citizen.

I KNOW that someone out there is in desperate need of a Citizen token.  Well, your wishes have been granted, my friend.

More Stretch Goals! 4 Bonus Tokens & 2 New Playmat Designs

A bit less than 12 hours into the project, we have already hit 6 Stretch Goals and demolished my expectations.

The feedback I've received has been overwhelmingly heartening and I aim to keep this momentum throughout the span of the project.

On to the Stretch Goals!

Ok, a few things before I show off the new tokens.

How do Bonus Tokens work?

• Every backer at the Basic Set level or above will be receiving the Bonus Tokens.  The first Stretch Goal for Bonus Tokens includes 4 of them and will be included in every backer's reward shipment.

Can I get more Bonus Tokens as Add Ons?

• Yes! You can always increase your pledge while the project is running to include more Tokens as Add Ons at $1 per Token.  Bonus Tokens are included in this offering.

Will the Bonus Tokens be exclusive to the Kickstarter?

• To ensure that everyone has a shot to play with them at some point in time, the Bonus Tokens will be made available for sale, likely through a store on www.originalmagicart.com or at events. 
• To ensure that Kickstarter backers are rewarded for their diligence, not only are these free for all Basic Set and above Reward Levels, but the Bonus Tokens will not be made available for sale until 12 months after the end of the Kickstarter.

Enough talk, here is one of the Bonus Tokens!

*There are 4 Bonus Tokens included in the $15,000 Stretch Goal, but we only had 1 of them ready.  We will be sharing the rest in the next update.  You guys have been a bit more eager than expected.  We'll catch up and we are certainly not complaining.

In addition to the $15,000 Stretch Goal, we reached the $20,000 Stretch Goal since the last update.

 The Stretch Goal is fairly self explanatory, the project now has an additional two Playmat designs available for backers.

Backers at The Completionist level will receive these 2 new playmats in addition to the 5 available at launch, for a current total of 7 playmats.  That's a lot of playmats!

*The Daniel in the Lions' Den playmat is still under construction.  The lion breaking the frame will be covering up the placard in the final design.

Bonus Tokens, Playmats, an expanded Full Set and all in under 12 hours since Launch.  Today has been an amazing day and it's not even over yet.

Commander Collection - $12,000 Stretch Goal Details

Such amazing support.  I couldn't imagine today going as well as it has so far.

The $12,000 Stretch Goal is now well past us and it's time to share a few details about what is now available for the project.

Now that we have reached $12,000 for the project, the Commander Token Collection will be made available as an option for backers. 

Working with Commander Guru, Bennie Smith, we are putting together a list of tokens that make up the core of what a Commander player may need in any given game.

Since the format allows one to play essentially every token ever made, we are honing it down to the most played varieties in the most useful quantities.

The full list is still in a bit of flux (I didn't expect to hit this level just quite yet) but it will be available as an option for anyone choosing the Token Collection Reward level, as well as the Silver Booster and up rewards. 

Backers at The Completionist Level will be receiving the Commander Collection in addition to the 4 other Token Collections.

The Commander Token Collection will also be available as an Add On, just like the Standard, Modern, etc. Token Collections.

Rory Bristol of GeekDad.com wrote a feature article for the project and reviewed the tokens and playmats on offer.

Overall, it looks like we fared pretty well and I really appreciate the kind words he had for the project.

Well that was quick.  I'm pretty sure the second goal was reached while I was typing the first update.

The $7,500 goal was reached and the Token Collections all get a nice update with 6 additional tokens each.

While I was working on the $7,500 Stretch Goal update, we went and blew past $10,000 as well.

 The next Stretch Goal is unlocked!  18 more tokens added to the Full Set!

By the time this gets to you, my most generous backers, we will most likely have reached the $12,500 Stretch Goal and be on our way to $15,000.
