New on Kickstarter - The Magic Art Show at GP Vegas is now Live!

Our adventure on Kickstarter continues with the launch of a new project to fund the Magic Art Show at GP Vegas.

 

As a passionate advocate for the art of Magic: the Gathering, I was incredibly pleased to team up with Mike Linnemann (@VorthosMike), Rico Evangelho (@Cardamajigs), Brian Walters (@propsofprophecy) to make one of our long time dreams, an exhibit of Magic paintings, sketches, and sculptures, a reality.

The Magic Art Show will be the first event of its kind.  Featuring more than 100 paintings, sculptures, and sketches, it will be the largest exhibition of Magic artwork ever created.  I'll even have some pieces from my personal collection on display.

We've set our sights on making this event extremely memorable, and we've created this project to make it happen.

We're offering a great set of exclusive Rewards for supporters of the project, and ALL funds will be going towards production of Rewards and the Show itself.  This project is a labor of love and we're aiming to make an amazing show, not to eek out a profit.

Even if you can't make it to Las Vegas for the GP, every Backer will be able to take a Virtual Tour where the team will guide you through the exhibit and give commentary (hopefully you'll get a chuckle or two while learning new things about Magic art) about the exhibit. 

From an exclusive Playmat by Zack Stella, to a pack of Tokens from Cardamajigs, we've tried to give you multiple options to show your support and help make this event possible.

Dinner with the Artists

One of the unique Rewards that we are offering with this project is a Dinner with Magic Artists, to be held at a place and time still TBD.

We've confirmed Zack Stella and Victor Adame Minguez already, and will be adding at least 2 more artists still to be announced.

Classic Art Tokens & Magic Art Show

One of our Stretch Goals, once we get the project funded, will be to add additional Tokens to the exclusive packs, including a Classic Art Token that won't be available anywhere else.

 

We're not there yet, but with your help we can make it happen.  I've been wanting to make this Token for a while, and the Magic Art Show Kickstarter is a great opportunity to make it happen.

Classic Art Token Store Launched! Launch Sale

That's right, after a lot of hard work and typing, Classic Art Tokens are now available on the OMA Store.

If you missed out on the Marble Edition Kickstarter or just wanted a few of the Tokens, you can now find everything from both projects in the store.

Classic Art Tokens on Patreon

Shipping for the Marble Edition Kickstarter has begun and we are already looking to what's next for Classic Art Tokens.

While we may run another Kickstarter project in the future, we've started up a Patreon to release the next series of Tokens.

Patreon's monthly structure allows us to generate a large enough print run to make new Tokens possible, and keeps us nimble and able to respond to new Tokens as they are created.

 

We launched the Patreon earlier this month and have already achieved our first goal and unlocked a brand new Token design that will be included in each package of Tokens, each and every month.

While these Tokens will be available in the Classic Art Tokens store (Launching on Jan. 1 - Message me if you want to be a beta tester for the store), Patrons at the $10+ level will receive an Exclusive Token. 

Here is this month's Patreon Exclusive Token:

 

This Token, and all other Patreon exclusive Tokens, will only be printed once and will only ever be available through Patreon.

If you want this double sided Monk/Soldier Token, the only way to get it will to be a $10+ Patron of our project before January 1st.  Celebrate the New Year with a brand new, exclusive Token

 

The first new design was unlocked at $250 and we are already on our way to unlocking another Token at $1,000.  If we can get enough support, the Token packs sent out every month will include up to 5 new Token designs, not counting the Exclusive Token for $10+ Patrons.

The new Tokens will be available in the Store, but the Patreon will be cheaper and include shipping.  Just saying, #value.

Speaking of the store, Patrons at the $5+ level will also receive a discount coupon for the Store, which can be used for anything on sale there: Playmats, Token Sets, Premium Tokens, even some stuff we currently have in the works.

While we haven't settled on what the new Token will be for December Patrons, here are a few Tokens that we have prepped and ready to go as options.

Repeat Backer Incentive - 48 Hours left, Only $2,800 or 50 Backers Away from More Free Tokens

Progress continues with Classic Art Tokens: Marble Edition.

Since the announcement of the Repeat Backer Initiative, we've hit another Stretch Goal, unlocking some amazing Premium Boxes, and are within reach unlocking more Free Tokens for all repeat backers.

 

We're at $27,180 and 416 backers currently, and our goal expires at midnight on the 4th.  We've got just under 48 hours to make it happen, and I am confident that we can get it done with your help.

If we can make it, hitting $30,000 by the end of tomorrow, we will also be unlocking 3 more Playmat and Bag designs.

 

I've received many requests for more work by Brueghel and I'm so glad that I was able to find a good image for "The Hunters in the Snow" and include it in the project.

We'll also have a Token for each of these pieces as well, but they won't be unlocked until we hit $40,000 and the Full Set expands to 90 cards.

We're so close to hitting both goals by the end of tomorrow, I can almost taste it.  Be one of the 50 that can get us there and unlock Free Tokens for all of your fellow Repeat Backers.
